Noon is the largest homegrown marketplace in the Middle East, and its seller fees sit in layers that are easy to misread. There is no subscription or listing fee, you only pay after an item sells, but the referral commission varies by category across a 4% to 27% published range, VAT is charged on top of the fees at 5% in the UAE, 15% in Saudi Arabia, and 14% in Egypt, and Saudi sellers face a 1 SAR minimum referral fee per item. On top of that, sellers using Fulfilled by Noon pay outbound pick-and-ship fees by weight and size slab, and storage fees once inventory sits in the warehouse. Sellers who subtract only a headline commission percentage routinely underprice by several percent.

Add an optional FBN outbound fee, for example AED 8.5 for a standard parcel up to 0.25kg in the UAE, and you get the referral fee, VAT on fees, total platform fees, net profit, and margin on every line.

Two details catch sellers out. First, Noon quotes its fees exclusive of VAT, so the commission you see on the rate card is not what leaves your settlement: add the market's VAT rate on top. Second, refurbished and renewed items carry materially higher referral rates than new items in the same family, so do not model a renewed-phone business on the new-item rate. Storage fees (AED 1.5 per cubic foot per month in the UAE) matter only once stock starts aging, so they belong in your monthly math rather than the per-sale calculation.
